How to get involved/application guidelines and procedures:: 

Open:Mon-Fri, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Occasional events on weekends.
Free curb-to-curb transportation is offered for programs and events at the Senior Center.
A Taxi Discount Program is available to Woburn residents age 60 and older who earn less than $30,000/year ($35,000 for a couple). Call the Transportation Office at 781 932-4468 for more information.

Golden Gift Shop
The Golden Gift Shop, located at the Woburn Senior Center, is managed by "Friends Helping Seniors", a fundraising group benefiting the seniors of Woburn. The Gift Shop is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10am-2pm and accepts donations and consignment items of gift quality.

The Woburn COA holds its open monthly meetings the first Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. In the event of a holiday, the meeting is held on the second Monday of the month.

Other information: 

The Woburn Council on Aging is a municipal, volunteer board appointed by the mayor. It is the responsibility of the Council to:
1) Identify the needs of the communities elder population and available resources;
2) Educate the community at large regarding the needs of the elderly; and
3) Design, promote and implement needed services.
The Woburn COA Senior Center provides information, referrals, information, outreach, advocacy, transportation, health screening, nutrition, education, peer support, recreation, volunteer development and intergenerational programming
Various Programs include: exercise, dancing, ceramics, card games, scrabble, singing, band, cribbage, whist, quilting, woodcarving, bowling, movies, Bingo, computer classes, bereavement support group, discussion group, blood pressure clinic, podiatrist, hearing tests, creative writing, special events.

The Mission of the Woburn Council on Aging is to ensure the highest possible quality of management and leadership, with regard to our community’s use of its human, physical and fiscal resources for the elderly.
